(本臺記者孫逸林綜合編譯) 目前，華盛頓州大約有一百二十多萬學生因為學校停課，被迫在家學習。疫情期間，一些教育機構推出免費課程幫助困在家裡的家庭。
Scholastic推出了免費課程，設計了每天三個小時的學習計劃，適用於學齡前兒童到高中生。一些繪本被做成視頻，方便學生學習。（https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome.html）
經典家庭教育網站Well Trained Mind（https://welltrainedmind.com/）免費開放了一些介紹家庭教育的講座音頻。
健身俱樂部Planet Fitness推出了免費的線上健身課程。每天晚上7點（美東時間），下午4點（美西時間），他們會在臉書上實時開課。如果錯了課程也沒有關系，這些課程會被上傳到網上，反復觀看。
西雅圖地區的Thrive Art藝術學校也從本周開始，將原本收費的網上藝術課免費放到youtube上，並且視頻不安插任何廣告。()
